Realtors knowledge saved Buyer money

I was an out-of-town home buyer. Andy and I met randomly over the phone and I didn’t actually meet him in person until Closing day at the Title company.
I had to give him a hug. Because of our innumerable texts, emails, phone calls, his exceptionally detailed work and the many tasks he handled in order to make my home purchase a reality, our first meeting felt like he was a trusted family friend.
During initial negotiations with the Seller, Andy seemed to be available whenever necessary, no matter the time of day or day of the week. When my original mortgage lender-of-choice seemed to be overwhelmed and had trouble managing the data in the loan approval process, Andy suggested a much more responsive Broker. I took his suggestion and that change in mortgage lender turned out to be very beneficial. Also, Andy was able to furnish a list of several qualified vendors I needed to resolve what, at the time, seemed an irreconcilable position related to the inspections process. He volunteered to coordinate access, monitor inspections and followed up on the required contractors work. And because of Andy, my Home Owners Insurance is actually lower than in my original Closing documents package. I don’t think Andy even knows his actions save me escrow money every single month. Somehow Andy made me feel as if I was his only client, but I learned that was not the case. In fact, he was a very busy fellow (with a great British accent, I might add).
I can’t say enough about how well Andy did his job as my Realtor. He was a one-man public relations team that made things happen on what seemed to me to be a very tight schedule. At the same time, he was extremely personable; I never felt pressured. Having him as my Realtor was like working with a long-time friend.
